CUA Student Group: “No place for this mandate in a free and just society.”

Members of the student group Vita Familiae at The Catholic University of America released a statement yesterday opposing the Obama administration’s HHS contraceptive mandate.

“This mandate violates the First Amendment right of religious liberty of Catholic Americans by forcing their cooperation in acts that violate the moral teaching of the Church, ” said the group’s statement. “More broadly, this mandate tramples on the rights of conscience of millions.”

They conclude, “There is no place for this mandate in a free and just society.”

Vita Familiae is a student organization that promotes the values of marriage and family in society. It is a member group of the Love & Fidelity Network and receives support and training from The Ruth Institute.

Great.. We the Catholics need this groundswell. Further, need to stop the debate being positioned by Pelosi, Obama as anti women rights which they seem to be winning on the communist networks…CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc. Facts are facts..98% of child bearing females use contraception, period..so it is not about contraception but it is about religous freedom. Need to step that up urgently.

So heartening to hear young people who understand God’s truth and the moral underpinnings of our free country. God bless you all!

The ONLY way to stop this insanity, is to pray the Rosary as Our Lady requested almost one hundred years ago, at Fatima, Portugal! Please work to spread Our Lady’s message.
