Bold Changes at Catholic College

The Cardinal Newman Society relates in a press release this morning that Magdalen College has announced a name change to The College of Saint Mary Magdalen and a new commitment to the “New Evangelization” of the West. 

The College is now providing online courses and added depth to required theology, philosophy and humanities courses.  Additional studies of Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Post-Modernity will be especailly emphasized in the future.

Cardinal Newman Society President Patrick J. Reilly addresed Magdalen parents and students at a dinner over the past weekend celebrating the new developments.  Read Reilly’s remarks here.
